Enterprises are Native American craft venues that
I have chosen to honor my mother and my father. He
passed away earlier this year. I hope to continue
his beadwork methods and types of beadwork products
that he alone could do. He was a veteran of WWII in
the Pacific Campaign as an Airborne paratrooper. Therefore,
I feel it is especially important to use my work to
honor American veterans. I have been producing beadwork
for 32 years. I am sure that you cannot find beadwork
anywhere that is cleaner, stronger, designed better,
or more symmetrical. All work is done by hand using
the best materials available. My work is among the
best beadwork you'll find in America.
The beadwork and feather patterns are my own original
designs. I produced them in order to honor the victims
of 9/11, and all Americans who continue to sacrifice
in the wake of terrorism.
Johnny Loudthunder is a Hunkpapa Lakota.
He grew up on the Yakama reservation. The art of
beading was taught to him by his mother and father.
Mr. Loudthunder is a graduate of the University
of Oklahoma.
